International audienceIn this paper, we present a new, potentially low cost, robust, and high speed wavelength tunable vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) operating at . Tunability is obtained by the modulation of an electric field applied to an electro-optic phase modulator using nano polymer dispersed liquid crystal (nano-PDLC) material. A 30 nm tuning range is expected with less than 100 V applied voltage for a milliwatt range optical pump threshold
