The work undertaken in this doctoral thesis focuses on the impact of different perceptual and graphical modalities that can affect user experience in immersive virtual environment. Our research takes position in a context where a majority of virtual reality applications are based on a first-person perspective leading to a natural transfer of our perceptual mechanisms.
