International audienceSeveral of Blasius of Parma’s texts contain remarks on the relationship between disciplines, and in particular between mathematics and physics. This contribution shows how, not only in the course of analysing problems that lie at the crossroad of two disciplines (such as the relationship between a spherical body and a plane), but also when discussing the notion of atom or the role of images in vision, Blasius of Parma contrasts the point of view of the mathematician with that of the natural philosopher.
