Oxaliplatin (OXA) is an anti-cancer drug widely used in oncology, its effectiveness is recognized in first-line chemotherapy regimen in many cancers. However, its use is limited by an onset of a disabling peripheral neuropathy with a negative association with quality of life. To identify and study clinical, plasma and electrochemical markers of oxaliplatin-induced chronic neuropathy (OIPN), two pilot studies (LIPIDOXA and CANALOXA) were conducted.Patients in the LIPIDOXA study were included prior to OXA treatment and were evaluated before treatment, during treatment, and six months after discontinuation.
