In this paper, we present an integrated application-layer and IP-layer multicasting scheme for XML message dissemination, which is achieved by moving subscriptions along with aggregated subscription summary with the aid of a network routing table. We present a distributed subscription aggregation mechanism to reduce the cost of subscription aggregation in a collaborative way. Experimental results demonstrate that for the experiments described in the paper our method achieves 20%-55% performance improvement over the conventional method
