This paper proposes methodology to relate risk in systems using complexity metric based on active connections as a criterion for selection of decision support methods. A case study of application of complexity metric is presented with emphasis on choosing of the most appropriated decision support method for approach. Obtained results indicate that the treated problem can be classified in simple solutions area. It is concluded that system performance measure and complexity can be used in an associated way as a criterion for selection of decision and risk support methods
