Passive time-domain macromodeling of EM subnetworks and high-speed modules characterized by S-parameters has generated immense interest during the recent years. This paper presents an efficient algorithm for addressing passivity of macromodels of S-parameter based subnetworks. New approaches for fast passivity verification and compensation are described. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm
