Extensive research has shown that many biodegradable organic wastes can be composted, offering a convenient and economical method. Composting can also be considered as simply a means of treating organic waste for safe emission into the environment. In this paper, the application of the method of composting in the management of some agro-industrial organic wastes is investigated for: tomato processing waste, cork processing residues, exhausted olive-husks and vegetable tannery sludge
