Add to ORKGCardiac fibromas are rare, benign tumours. They represent the most common resected cardiac neoplasm among children and their occurrence in adults is uncommon. Surgical treatment is the gold standard of care in symptomatic patients while it is controversial in asymptomatic, even with large fibromas, patients. In these situations a conservative management could be proposed. Complete surgical resection of huge cardiac fibromas may be challenging and lead some complications like mitral valve regurgitation requiring repair or replacement. We report the case of an asymptomatic, adult patient with a huge left ventricle (LV) fibroma, surgically treated with a mitral valve-sparing resection of the cardiac neoplasm
