Capitolo 1: Identificazione di elementi regolatori responsabili per l’iperaccumulo di metalli nella famiglia delle Brassicaceae. Il ruolo del trasportatore MTP1 nella tolleranza ai metalli pesanti è stato studiato approfonditamente, in quanto esso ha un ruolo molto importante nell’iperaccumulo. MTP1 è presente in più copie nella specie iperaccumulatrice Arabidopsis halleri; inoltre sono state osservate possibili differenze nella regolazione della trascrizione tra iperaccumulatori e non accumulatori.
