In this contribution, it is argued that person features are interpreted as identity predicates equating the objects denoted by pronouns with bearers of mental states and, more generally, featural properties linked to theta-role decomposition. The first-personal interpretation proper to logophoric third person pronouns and 'shifted' first person pronouns is essentially the same kind of interpretation detected with DE SE readings in contexts of propositional attitude.
