Glutamate decarboxylase (Gad) catalyzes glutamate to γ-aminobutyrateconversion. Plant Gad is a ∼340 kDa hexamer, involved in development andstress response, and regulated by pH and binding of Ca2+/calmodulin(CaM) to the C-terminal domain.
