The scope of the project is to look over the changes of Paducah over the past 30+ years. Such changes observed are: size of the city, changes in vegetation, and changes in infrastructure. This project examined different images (via remote sensing techniques) to observe the potential changes of the area in the spread of 30 years. Population was also considered. Vegetation was examined through a combination of aerial photography and infrared imagery. Along with using the same techniques for the vegetation examination, changes (increases or decreases) in infrastructure was examined using satellite imagery as well.
