A health disparity exist between deaf and hearing patients. There is a gap between the health of hearing patients and those that are deaf. These gap is largely due to a lack of education. There is little to no education specifically designed for deaf patients. With the use of pre and post test deaf participants knowledge increased when provide in an adjust manner using sign language. In other studies basic health knowledge was lower in deaf participants than it was in hearing participants
