Genocide is not a subject that people like to talk about, but the fact of the matter is that it does exist today. The genocide that is being referred to is that which is occurring in Darfur, Sudan. This genocide has claimed over 400,000 lives and displaced more than 2.5 million people since 2003. As the genocide continues, out of the sorrow arises the stories of healthcare professionals who have devoted their lives to providing medical care in the conflict-ridden countries such as Darfur.
