My research was conducted using an objectives based evaluation and mixed methodology on the overall effectiveness of outpatient substance abuse treatment. overall, the research suggests there is a discrepancy in the program due to rates of relapse among clients after graduation from the program. The agency needs a more in depth analysis on what tools are provided to clients as well as having monthly training on evidence based practices that are up to date. The research also suggest that their is a cultural context missing within the practices used due to the fact the techniques are based on white males; which leaves a huge gap for large populations dealing with substance use disorders. More research is needed in this area to better determin...
