J.P. Fraley is considered to be one of the masters of fiddling. He has played fiddle since the age of eight. He learned from his father, Richard, and later on he would also learn from other well-known fiddlers from northeast Kentucky. When he was younger he worked in the coal mines, he worked his way up to eventually becoming a salesman for mining equipment. This job would take him all over the world, and would spark his interest in the music of other cultures. J.P. played music all his life, but did not start playing and recording professionally until the 70\u27s. His wife, Annadeene, brought family and friends together in what became the first J.P.
