A series of essays written in the second-person explores the death of my mother and the impact that event had on the rest of my life. Each essay addresses a particular stage in my life: childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, and motherhood. The essays are intended to illustrate the effect that a mother\u27s death can have on her daughter and contain reflections on what being a mother means. In addition a reflective paper discusses the creation of the creative work. It comprises the following elements: a description of the project and its main purposes; an examination of the themes and cultural context; a narrative describing the creation process; and a reflective section exploring what I learned
