The topic concerning the role of women in leadership over men in the church is one that has been debated in ministries since the early 20th century because of interpretation of Scripture. This research examines Scripture in support of women in leadership over men in the church. It specifically focuses on 1 Timothy 2:8-15 and 1 Corinthians 14:34&35 as its scriptural foundation and looks at the impact of the church when there are no limitations on the positions that women hold. It will study the egalitarian and complementarian views on this issue and present their support for and opposition against women in authority over men in the church.
