This work aims to provide an overview of new perspectives of talent management research linked to investigation of the relationship between talent management (TM) practices, absorptive capacity (AC), and a firm's performance. We review the current theories in TM and provide the understanding of AC through TM lens. We discuss emerging market context as a setting for our study whereas Brazilian, Russian, Indian and Chinese firms will be analyzed to provide the link between TM and AC
