The term Revolution in Intelligence Affairs or RIA is increasingly being used--along with the less precise term of intelligence transformation --by intelligence practitioners, policy makers, scholars, and other intelligence experts to denote the notion that sweeping radical (or transformational ) changes must be made to the U.S. intelligence enterprise for it to remain effective in the current global security environment
