After acceptance into the NASA CubeSat Launch Initiative program and four semesters of continued research, Embry-Riddle’s CubeSat Satellite Development program has made extensive progress towards meeting our delivery deadline during the spring of 2015. The challenges of overseeing such an effort include managing student personnel, building a comprehensive schedule, and aiding in the design and creation of subsystems while meeting deadlines and requirements. Following a preliminary design review and a review by expert faculty, EagleSat is preparing for the first test of a completed engineering model on a high altitude balloon flight this summer.
