Microgravity Research Associates, Inc. (MRA) was formed in 1979 for the purpose of engaging in materials processing in space. Toward this end, it recently became the third company to enter into a Joint Endeavor Agreement with NASA. This is a report on the progress of MRA and the nature and objectives of the joint endeavor. The MRA experience is unique in that this is the first start-up company, to become involved in materials processing in space through a joint endeavor with NASA
