Africa, the New African Diaspora, and Religious Transnationalism in a Global World

This introductory chapter accomplishes two tasks. First, it identifies seven different approaches to the study of religion and immigration, outlining the ways that each of these both reveals and limits transnational religious dynamics in the current era.
