An image scanned from a postcard of the Lakewood Theater on the western shore of Wesserunsett Lake near Skowhegan, Maine. Several theater-goers are walking in the area just outside the theater. The postcard was not dated or postmarked, but appears to be from the era of 1930 to 1940. The first summer theater performance at the Lakewood Resort was in 1901. With the exception of the 1984 season, it has operated annually since then. Postcard printed by the American Art Post Card Company in Boston, Massachusetts.https://digitalcommons.library.umaine.edu/spec_photos/1966/thumbnail.jp
