This literature review explores the effectiveness of how a growth mindset can be instrumental to student\u27s academic performance. Students who are able to persevere when given a difficult task are more likely to have success, than a student who feels intelligence is influenced by natural ability. Students with a fixed mindset are quick to give up when given a challenging task. Growth mindset and grit are a direct reflection of each other. This literature review consists of a study that was done to measure factors that would predict high school graduation. Results from the study were associated with both grit and growth mindset.
