Is commercial scale co-production of food and fuel from microalgae possible? Could such practices reduce land use, carbon emissions, and water consumption while increasing food production? In this talk I will show that marine microalgae might address three of the greatest challenges society faces: climate, energy, and food security. I will also describe technological, economic, and environmental challenges that have stymied the algae biofuel industry and ways these may be addressed through the production of high value feed products.https://digitalcommons.bucknell.edu/fac_coll/1033/thumbnail.jp
