The article discusses the spectroscopy of fire and flame. Fire is rapid oxidation, reduction reaction that is composed of three parts, which are light, heat, and flame. Flame is the region of fire where the chemical processes occurring are so exothermic which keeps light off. One spectroscopy using flame as the integral part is atomic absorption (AA) spectroscopy. AA spectroscopy uses a dissolved solute nebulized and atomized in a wide, narrow flame, though proper calibration is needed
