The Department of Chemistry at Grambling State University encourages its faculty, staff, and students to participate in the American Chemical Society’s National Chemistry Week as part of its Service-Learning and Community Outreach Initiative. This event occurs each year during the third week of October, and involves chemistry demonstrations, recruitment, and the promotion of STEM disciplines. The presentation: outlines chemistry demonstrations done for high school visits, discusses strategies for gaining on campus student participation, and discusses reporting to the Department of Service-Learning at Grambling State University
