Comparative study of biomaterials xenograft type and alloplastic graft to alveolar reconstructive surgery with the technique of sinus lift with lateral window: a literature review

O levantamento do seio maxilar é um procedimento que visa aumentar o volume ósseo e permitir a instalação de implantes na maxila posterior atrófica. Embora o osso autógeno seja o principal material de enxerto empregado nesta cirurgia, vários biomateriais têm sido propostos para substituí-lo, evitando, assim, os riscos e a morbidade cirúrgica que resultam da abordagem a uma área doadora. Dessa forma, o presente estudo analisou, através de uma revisão de literatura, os enxertos aloplásticos e os xenoenxertos fazendo, assim, uma crítica acerca dos mesmos. Os instrumentos de busca utilizados foram os bancos de dados LILACS, PubMed, SCIELO.The maxillary sinus is a procedure that aims to increase bone volume and allow the installation of implants in the atrophic posterior maxilla. Although autogenous bone is the main material used in this graft surgery, various biomaterials have been proposed to replace it, thus avoiding the risks and morbidity resulting from the surgical approach to a donor area. Thus, the present study examined, through a literature review, the alloplastic grafts and xenografts, thus making a review about them.
