Pilot Point ISD was chosen by the Getty Foundation as a pilot school for a program on visual arts, the program focusing on the history, cultural, aesthetic and production of art. The program having been integrated with the regular curriculum as teachers received training in the discipline-based art education from North Texas Institute for Educators on the Visual Arts
