This paper provides and overview of the partnership between the University of North Texas and the Dallas/Forth Worth affiliate station of the National Broadcasting Company (NBC 5/KXAS) to preserve the content of the oldest television news station in Texas, including discussions of copyright, funding, and access to audio/visual collections
