Much of what is presented here is indicative of our national trends in computing. To review and bring in the international scope at the same time, the following points are enumerated: 1. There are but few new ventures in the competition for the high performance end of the computer market. 2. The competition for the middle range of computers is very great internationally. 3. The number and varieties of minicomputers are growing at a phenomenal rate throughout the world. There is no question but that the number of manufacturers and number of systems built will continue to accelerate for some time to come. 4.
