The synthesis and reactivity of cobalt oxo cluster complexes will be presented. Using a hexapyridyl-trialkoxide ligand, a trinuclear Co complex was used as a platform for the prepn. of tetrametallic oxido cluster complexes [MCo_3O]^n+ where M = Li^+, Zn^2+, Co^2+. Reactivity of such complexes toward oxygen atom transfer reagents and their redox properties will be discussed
