We demonstrated that melatonin can restore altered smooth muscle and nervous plexus from guinea pig urinary bladder and gallbladder induced by ageing and acute cholecystitis. Melatonin could be a useful candidate to palliate urinary bladder and gallbladder dysfunction associate to oxidative stress.
