This dissertation presents two new sets of information regarding local government innovation. Using survey techniques, the research establishes a list of twenty-two modern local government innovations and identifies what are considered, by local government professionals, to be the top three mainstream local government innovations and cities leading in their usage. The research uses statistical techniques and previous research on the topic to test what effect factors related to the one hundred most populated US cities have on innovation usage.
