Detroit: Fania Davis, sister of Angela Davis, speaks to approximately 50 members of the Michigan Committee to Free Angela Davis at an outdoor rally in downtown Detroit 12/16. After Fania spoke the group marched to the Wayne County Jail chanting \u27Free Angela Davis\u27 and \u27Free the Detroit 16\u27. Miss Davis is in a New York prison fighting extradition to California where she faces charges of murder, kidnapping and conspiracy. The \u27Detroit 16\u27 are being held in the Wayne County Jail as a result of a disturbance between police and Black Panthers last 10/24 after a Detroit policeman was fatally shot.https://digitalcommons.chapman.edu/upi_african_american/1252/thumbnail.jp
