Montauk Transportation Center: The Train Station as Evidence of the Duality That Exists Between Type and Prototype

The intent of this thesis is to study and re-interpret an existing building type, and to develop conceptual strategies for a prototype. It will demonstrate the advantages of the prototype and how it can be used as a building block when dealing with specific site considerations.
