Feeling disrespected is a universal living experience. The humanbecoming theory of nursing science guided the study. The purposes of this investigation were to advance nursing science by gaining an understanding of the structure of the living experience of feeling disrespected for women who have experienced this phenomenon, to contribute to the nursing theory of humanbecoming in relation to feeling disrespected, and to explore the relevance of feeling disrespected to living quality.
