This report concerns the\u27 field trials and evaluation studies of conservation practices in South Dakota from 1939 to 1943. These studies have been made on farmer\u27s fields to evaluate the effectiveness and practical farm value of conservation practices in South Dakota. The studies were initiated and have been carried on by the Technical Operations Division and the Division of Research of the Soil Conservation Service in cooperation with the South Dakota Experiment Station
