The Plant Science Department of South Dakota State University and the soil survey staff of the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) in South Dakota cooperatively sampled and analyzed selected chemical and physical properties of some soils during 1983. This report contains pedon descriptions prepared by SCS, USFS and SDSU personnel and corresponding laboratory data compiled by SDSU pedology staff
