This research study provides strategies in establishing positive discipline in kindergarten through eighth- grade classrooms by answering the key research question of: What are the most effective tools in establishing positive discipline in a K-8 classroom? Through the use of fieldwork observations in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a 6th-grade classroom, the researcher noted how different classroom management techniques affected the students. The researcher also studied three academic journals about ways to incorporate positive discipline in the classroom and how the students were affected by the change in classroom management.
