My thesis is an examination of three political experiments of governance located in the first two books of the Old Testament of the Bible. The first two political experiments, which I call Artificial Politics and Personal Politics, must be considered failures because God, the ruler, fails to create a political structure that satisfies the masses or Himself. Both of these experiments are learning experiments that God uses to create the third experiment, which I entitle Mountain Politics. In this experiment, God successfully creates a form of governance that has lasted well over 2000 years by satisfying the masses and God.
