In this installment of Professors in Private Practice, we introduce early career faculty to issues related to board certification with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) In our previous article, the third in our series, (Vol. 71, Issue 1), we explored the advantages and disadvantages of the enrolling in Medicaid as a provider for early career faculty. We extend this discussion of issues related to being a professor in private practice by first introducing the ABPP and discussing the process of becoming board certified.
