This study examined applicant reactions to an organization\u27s potential use of the applicants\u27 online social networking presence (SNP) as part of the personnel selection process. An experimental group of applicants were informed that an organization to which they were applying for an entry-level job would check the applicants\u27 SNP as part of a selection process that also included a personality assessment and skills inventory.
