This study deals with the depositional environment and reservoir properties of the Upper Pennsylvanian Cottage Grove Sandstone of the Ochelata Group of the Missourian Series. Determination of environment was accomplished through preparation of correlation sections, isopach and structural contour maps, and core analyses. Reservoir characteristics were studied, utilizing thin-section microscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques, and scanning electron microscopy.Geolog
