The stochastic job shop problem was solved using two genetic algorithms. The first was a stochastic constrained genetic algorithm to minimize total tardiness and to evaluate chromosomes using probability Gantt charting. The second was a stochastic constrained genetic algorithm to minimize total tardiness and to evaluate chromosomes using simulation.
