Infectious diarrhea is an important public health problem and a major cause of morbidity all over the world. Infants and young children are the most vulnerable group. Vaccination is one of the most important public health tools for the prevention of infectious diseases, however, formulation of safe and effective vaccines against diarrheal disease can be challenging.
