Excessive growth of aquatic vegetation has detrimental effects on fish populations, sport fishing, and water quality. The use of herbivorous fish is a popular method of controlling overabundant vegetation. The objective of this research was to determine the effectiveness of Tilapia aurea as a biological vegetation control agent. Funds were provided by the Langston University Research Program (CSRS-OKLX-8085-15-5) through the Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Oklahoma Cooperative Fishery Research Unit and Oklahoma State University.Zoolog
