This study examines racial problems in Kenya during the colonial period. It does so by examining public documents and books that give an account of the racial problem. The author through the study came to the conclusion that the estab- 1 ishment of Kenya as a white colony brought with it racial discrimination, against the natives and Asians. That the colonial government through lack of definite policies aided the white settlers to perpetuate the condition. That the white settlers established and maintained racial discrimination with the idea of retaining their position of superiority.
